2000 La Jota Vineyard Co.
Howell Mountain Cabernet Franc

Howell Mountain, Napa Valley, CA

The 2000 vintage was a picturesque vintage for Napa – a mild growing season with even temperatures were perfect for developing a cellar worthy Howell Mountain Cabernet Franc. The nose of the 2000 La Jota Cab Franc displays classic signs of careful aging with dried cherries and candied walnuts with notes of cedar and musk. The wine opens with a soft texture and lends itself to toast and spice flavors with notes of Darjeeling tea, ending with a lengthy finish.

Anniversary Release Cabernet Sauvignon

Howell Mountain, Napa Valley, CA

Whereas the 2000 vintage showcased effortless weather, the 2001 vintage proved changeable with an uncharacteristically cold spring and record setting summer heat. Then, despite all indicators to the contrary, the fall weather calmed to a remarkably temperate climate that produced wonderfully balanced fruit. The 2001 La Jota Anniversary Release Cabernet Sauvignon is a testament to the lauded vintage, with aged characteristics of dried berries and minerality that mingle with hints of buttery caramel and cardamom.
