Edition 12 | November 2015

Here in Napa Valley we’ve finished another rigorous, mountainside harvest. Our La Jota and Howell Mountain Vineyards sit at elevations over 1,400 feet, so bringing in the grapes is a labor of love—and well worth it, when our bold mountain wines show their distinctive character.

Your November club shipment includes two of our best library wines—the 2002 21st Anniversary Cabernet Sauvignon from our Howell Mountain Vineyard and the 2005 Merlot from our La Jota and Howell Mountain Vineyards.

The 2002 growing season gave us robust, concentrated fruit character for full-bodied, rich Cabernet Sauvignon. And the 2005 season yielded exceptionally rich Merlot—Merlot for Cab drinkers, we like to say. These wines are perfect for fireside sipping, for pairing with holiday roasts, or for treating friends and family to something special.
